in the garden

I am having a great time hearing Granny's gardening tips as we water her lovely plants. I hope her green fingers have been passed down to me and that we get a chance to grow our own garden one day.  My own current project is going well and I find myself watching over my little lavender plants (not pictured today) with much anticipation and a growing sense of pride as they get bigger and bigger!

heading south

We have relocated south for a few weeks to help my Granny whilst she recovers from a broken wrist. Sun, good music and a great driver made the journey fly by! Over the next few weeks I am looking forward to spending time with Granny, catching up with friends and hopefully exploring some new parts of London.

friday film

I have decided to start a regular post. I finally scanned all my film photos on to the computer and I would love to share them with you. I love shooting with film and have been trying to do so more often this year. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it...

A couple of weeks ago we piled in the car and headed south to Lewes where Mumford & Sons hosted the amazing Gentlemen of the Road festival. We had so much fun! Great weather, yummy food, wonderful people and the best music. We danced to Vampire Weekend, sang along to Johnny Flynn, discovered Bear's Den, were entertained by Edward Sharpe and all out partied to Mumford.

:: These photos were shot on a cheap disposable camera..perfect for festival fun! ::

changes

It has been over a year and a half since my time travelling around North America. I had such a wonderful time spent with amazing people. As my feet begin to itch again I think of how my life has changed since then and how another adventure of this kind may be a long way off. However, I am so grateful for the changes that have made my life what it is now and despite difficulties I have so much to give thanks for. Most of all, I am thankful that throughout all the ups and downs in life, one thing remains..

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Deuteronomy 31 vs 8

blackcurrants

A recent trip to Granny's resulted in a bag of blackcurrants from her garden. I can't wait until we have our own garden to grow things in.
