friday film

At the end of a tough week, I am so thankful to be living with this wonderful lady..

friday film

My Dad is great. He makes me laugh, listens to all my problems, is incredibly kind and always fun to hang out with. So here is a picture of us, jumping in the rain, just in time for Father's Day..

Ever since my parents moved house a couple of years ago, my Dad has been talking about visiting this place. I didn't know much about it apart from the fact there is a 19th century whale skeleton on display there! Turns out, it is just lovely. We spent a couple of hours wandering around the grounds in the sunshine. I couldn't get enough of the gorgeous architecture, which reminds me of Wed Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel. It made me want to go exploring the beautiful buildings around Europe, but at the same time very grateful for all that England has to offer.

100

This is my one hundredth blog post. To me, it feels like a mini achievement. There's something about the number 100 which feels impressive. I love my little blog and the opportunity it gives me to put my photos out there. Thank you for joining me here :)

open air movie experience

Last weekend I went to an open air screening of Dirty Dancing along with a couple of my sisters and some friends. The event was hosted at a cute camping site where they had attempted to recreate the holiday camp from the film with hula hoop contests, dance lessons, painful American accents and live music. The weather was great and the fans were enthusiastic with lots of shouting at the screen, wolf whistling when Patrick Swayze appeared and dancing along during the final scene. We had a great time and even took a huge watermelon along for the sake of repeating the line I carried a watermelon?! as many times as possible!
