yorkshire sculpture park (ii) .. the conservatory

I would have taken a lot more photos of this place if I knew how to handle my camera a bit better in terms of controlling exposure, but I have finally taken the plunge into manual photography with my new camera...watch this space! The conservatory was beautiful, inside and out, from the plants creeping into the bright windows to the sandy colour of the bricks.

one

This gorgeous babe turns one today! She is such a joyful girl, always with a huge smile on her face, and I have loved watching her grow over the past year. Her parents are absolute superstars and have done an amazing job in their first year of parenthood. These photos of us together were taken by her wonderful mum while on a big group holiday last year. Happy Birthday lovely one :)

beach love

Today I'm headed to the coast to explore some new places, take lots of pictures and spend some time with my wonderful parents. Happy days!

yorkshire sculpture park (i) .. henry moore

I love this big abstract sculpture. It somehow both fits into and frames its surroundings beautifully. The green tones didn't quite come through in these pictures but trust me, the colours are truly lovely.

sleeping cutie

Feeling so thankful for a restful weekend with friends. Here are some pictures from last summer when we first met Brielle. They are also one of my few attempts at portraits..definitely easiest when your subject is i. super cute and ii. asleep ;)

weekend plans

I get to spend this weekend with some dear friends and I cannot wait. These photos are from our last visit which was back in June, far too long ago! Looking forward to a much needed catch up, plus cuddles with baby Brielle who is growing up so quickly. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, whatever you have planned.
